* The beginning

Chapter 1 opens the game in your mother's house in Frontford. After helping 3 villagers and obtaining the sword from Terry, you go to sleep and are woken up by a raid. You enter the Bamboo Forest, saving the hostages and obtaining dash. You then fight Bamboozaina, the first major boss, to end the raid. After returning to frontford for the celebration and funeral, you are given the spear and travel through the Plains to Gravehome, where you fight Berdin. After defeating berdin the chapter ends.
